I study the creation and curation of data in the humanities, focusing on the storytelling potential of archaeological collections. I work at the intersection of museum studies, archival science, and digital humanities. In the Council for the Preservation of Anthropological Records (CoPAR) Working Group, my colleagues and I investigate data needs across disciplines.

Current projects include "Developing Extensible Methods for Provenance Research," CT Piloting Network, the Archives of Classical Scholarship (ArCla, with FCLSC and SerSoc), and research spanning museum and archival collection study. With SAAMUSC student leaders I support the Boone County Historical Society records and photograph digitization. I am a faculty advisor for the Public Broadcasting Preservation Fellowship and its audiovisual archival education activities #AVarchives, as well as Data Archivist in the Venus Pompeiana Project.

Being an archival educator, I am active in the Archival / Preservation Education ALISE SIG, in SAA CORDA and the Missouri Association for Museums & Archives, and in AERI and ASIS&T.
